KSS 70

KSS 70 is a typical custom design. As all Kelsall designs, KSS is the method of build. In the case of "My Way" the starting point for the boat builder was a professionally made kit. The brief was safety, comfort and luxury spaces, with an eye for ease of handling and performance.

Two master cabins and two guest cabins are in the hulls - with the feature of walk round berths in the aft staterooms. The saloon, galley and dining area are on the b'deck. The cockpit is a major feature, with sheltered working platform to which most of the controls are brought.

"My Way" at 70 foot LOA, is a sailing yacht which lacks for nothing in the space and facilities departments. Whether it is for owner or guest comfort or navigation or safety, it is all on board. The style, the finish and the space on the 35 ft. overall width qualifies her for superyacht status on all counts.

Go anywhere, in comfort, safety and with ease of sail handling for small crew was the spec to which she was designed and built. The range under power is sufficient to cross the oceans without relying on the sails.

Being KSS foam sandwich for the full structure, means that there is nothing within the structure that can rot or needs special protection, and insulation and buoyancy is built in throughout. All parts of the structure start as a flat panel on a full length mould table. This includes the round bilge hulls. The knuckle and the deck edge radius are built in as part of the topside panel as it is produced. The Kit of parts for "My Way" was produced using resin infusion which is neat, clean, achieves the best possible structure and there's no excess resin anywhere.
