Kite Sailing - Trials on Getting More Wind Speed

Our continuous R&D on boating efficiencies, includes wing sails, free standing sails, free wing twins, and kite sails. We first had plans in 2004 to add a kite to KaivitiKat - a 33 ft, KSS Power Cat. Christmas 2007 saw the Kelsall team trying a 18sqm Kite on a 6m KSS outrigger, and in March 2008 to trial the Kite behind Cool Change. WEB SITE

We hope you enjoy the web-site. Our experienced team will provide you with expert design and service to get you on the water sooner.

Kelsall Catamarans has more than 40 years specialising in catamarans and the use of composites. We have developed the KSS custom build process and are world leaders in the field. Find a design that suits, or enquire about any design type or size not listed. We are continuously adding new designs. Find out why KSS is different but so much more efficient and pleasant to undertake than any other. Also, why the build method choice is so important, whether you are an owner seeking a new boat, a professional seeking more efficiency, or a first time home builder. Find out why I chose foam in 1965.

KSS can be applied to all composite catamaran building. There is no limit on size, type or location of building. KSS begins at the design stage for commercial and pleasure craft. KSS also applies to wing masts, lots of other parts and even to most mono styles.

KSS Pressure Shaping is a recent refinement which simplifies the shaping of hulls using the properties of the foam. Our R&D is continuous on the most efficient boat building methods, which are then passed on to the builder.
